Finance Ministry Warns Against Fake SMS Claiming Additional Benefits for Thai Chuay Thai Plus, Urges Not to Click Links

Beware of scammers exploiting the opportunity to send fake links claiming "additional benefits" for Thai Chuay Thai Plus. Authorities stress not to click these links, as "government agencies will not send SMS or links" for program registration.

Reporters say the Thai Chuay Thai Plus program aims to assist people affected by the energy crisis caused by the conflict in the Middle East, easing expenses and maintaining purchasing power. It has opened for people to claim benefits through the "Paotang" application.

Those interested can register via the Paotang app by clicking the Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40) program banner only, from 25 May to 29 May 2026, between 06:00 and 22:00 daily, until the program's quota is filled.

The Thai Chuay Thai Plus program will assist over 43 million people, including vulnerable groups through the State Welfare Card (13.18 million people) and the general public without the welfare card, approximately 30 million beneficiaries.

How will Thai Chuay Thai Plus registration results be notified?

After people press the confirmation button to register for "Thai Chuay Thai Plus Program Benefits (60/40)" via the Paotang app, the system will notify the registration results as follows.
1. People who previously used the Khon La Khrueng Plus program benefits will receive notifications immediately on the Paotang app.

  • Successful registration: a message stating "You have received Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40) benefits. You can start using them on 1 June 2026."
  • Unsuccessful registration: a message stating no benefits due to full quota, holding the State Welfare Card, or not meeting qualifications.

2. People who never used the Khon La Khrueng Plus benefits will receive SMS and notifications on the Paotang app within three days after registration as follows.

  • Successful registration: a message stating "You have received Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40) benefits. You can start using them on 1 June 2026."
  • Unsuccessful registration: a message stating no benefits due to full quota, holding the State Welfare Card, or not meeting qualifications.

The system will send SMS only to those who have never participated in the Khon La Khrueng Plus program, have registered, and are awaiting registration results.

People are advised to beware of scammers sending SMS or chat messages tricking them into registering for "Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40)" by urging them to click links and quickly provide personal information, falsely claiming benefits will run out. Do not be fooled, as registration is only available through the "Paotang" application.

Warning to the public to watch out for fake SMS and links tricking people into registering for "Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40)."

Ms. Nan Boonthida Somchai, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy, has ordered the Anti-Fake News Center (AFNC) to take proactive measures to monitor, investigate, and watch for scammers impersonating the "Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40)" registration program.

From monitoring various channels up to 25 May 2026, there have been 327,346 messages related to the "Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40)" program. Coordinated checks with government agencies confirmed 39 cases: 20 fake news, 3 distorted news, and 16 true news.

Therefore, the public is warned to be cautious of fake news that may cause misunderstanding and confusion. Sharing such information widely could impact society and lead to loss of property and personal data.

For registration in the "Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40)" program, the public should follow the four no's: 1. Do not click links 2. Do not trust 3. Do not rush 4. Do not transfer money. Registration is only through the "Paotang" app.

Entrepreneurs who previously joined the Khon La Khrueng Plus program can confirm their rights via the "Thung Ngern" app. New interested entrepreneurs must apply at any Krungthai Bank branch. Government agencies will not send any "SMS or links" for registration to join the program in any way.
