On 29 May 2026, reporters reported that The Thai Chuay Thai Plus project is allowing the public to claim participation rights through the application "Pao Tang" for the last day. This project aims to assist people affected by the energy crisis caused by the conflict in the Middle East by easing expenses and preserving purchasing power.
Regarding the project, "Thai Chuay Thai Plus" will help and alleviate impacts for more than 43 million people, divided into vulnerable groups through the State Welfare Card mechanism (poor people's card) totaling 13.18 million, and the general public group (without the welfare card) approximately 30 million entitlements.

After enrolling, it takes about three days for processing. Those registering late and resolving data issues will still receive full entitlement according to procedure.
The total five-day registration period was carefully calculated as appropriate to allow citizens facing app-related problems, such as failed identity verification, changed phone numbers, or those reinstalling the app after deletion, enough time to visit Krung Thai Bank branches to correct data. Once corrected, they can return to register within the timeframe without issue.
