“Thai Chuey Thai Plus” program credited the first 1,000 baht. What can be bought and what is prohibited? Check conditions to avoid losing your benefits.


After the “Thai Chuey Thai Plus” program opened for the public to claim participation rights via the application “Paotang” to assist citizens affected by the energy crisis caused by the conflict in the Middle East region. The government subsidizes half the cost (60/40) to ease expenses and maintain purchasing power for 30 million rights holders.

The program officially started today (1 June 2026), with spending allowed from 1 June to 30 September 2026 (06:00 - 23:00) through the “Paotang” application. Participants will receive support funds for food, beverages, goods, and specified services at participating stores at a 60% rate, capped at 200 baht per person per day and 1,000 baht per person per month. Unused monthly credit does not carry over. Eligible purchases include:

  • Beverage shops
  • Food delivery carts
  • OTOP shops
  • General goods
  • Public transportation services

Non-eligible items under the Thai Chuey Thai Plus program

  • Massage parlors
  • Spas
  • Nail salons
  • Hair salons
  • Lottery tickets
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Tobacco products
  • Vouchers
  • Cash cards
  • Other services involving advance payment for goods or services

How much must you top up each time for the Thai Chuey Thai Plus (60/40) program?

Since the government limits spending to no more than 200 baht per person per day or up to the total credit (1,000 baht per person per month, maximum 4,000 baht throughout the program).

Purchase amount of 100 baht

  • The government subsidizes 60%, equal to 60 baht
  • The individual pays 40%, equal to 40 baht

Purchase amount of 200 baht

  • The government subsidizes 60%, equal to 120 baht
  • The individual pays 40%, equal to 80 baht

If the government has subsidized you 1,000 baht in a month, you must pay about 666.67 baht yourself, totaling approximately 1,667 baht in spending for the month.

Overall, the government subsidizes 4,000 baht for the entire program, meaning citizens can purchase goods and services worth up to 6,666.67 baht, but only pay 2,666.67 baht out of pocket.

How to use rights in the Thai Chuey Thai Plus (60/40) program

Steps to scan and pay via the Paotang app

  • Open the “Paotang” application
  • Go to the G-Wallet menu and select the Thai Chuey Thai Plus (60/40) program banner
  • Inform the merchant “Pay with Thai Chuey Thai Plus,” then a QR Code for payment will be provided
  • Tap the “Scan to use rights” button and point your phone at the QR Code of the participating merchant
  • Verify the payment amount (the system automatically calculates the 60:40 payment ratio)
  • Tap confirm to approve the payment (if funds are insufficient, top up your G-Wallet)
  • Enter your 6-digit PIN to complete the transaction

For food/drink purchases via food delivery service providers (food delivery platforms)

  • Purchases through food delivery platforms must be strictly for food and beverage items by participants in the program only.
  • The government subsidy covers only the cost of food and drinks, excluding delivery fees or other charges.
  • Program rights can be used to order food and drinks via food delivery platforms from 06:00 to 21:00 daily.
  • Receiving or demanding cash change or any benefit other than ordering food/drinks via the food delivery platform is prohibited under any circumstances.
  • Food and drink transactions through the delivery platform must be genuine sales, with buyer and seller not in the same location or the same person.
