Registration opens on the first day. "2026 State Welfare Card." Where to confirm eligibility, check registration steps for existing cardholders, the deadline, and conditions for those who have never had a card to see if they can register.
On 4 June 2026, the registration project for the State Welfare Card 2026 opened, providing eligible citizens with government assistance to reduce living costs and ensure equal, sustainable life security. Registration is open daily from 06:00 to 23:00 until 21 June 2026.
This initiative arises because current State Welfare Cardholders registered in 2022, but some target groups were excluded and could not participate in previous rounds. To quickly address low-income individuals who missed out (Exclusion Error) and to accurately reach the intended recipients based on the current situation, the project must proceed urgently alongside the Thai Chua Thai Plus program. Running both programs simultaneously helps assist all target groups during a period of rising energy prices and increased living expenses.
Existing State Welfare Cardholders who wish to participate in the new registration round must "re-verify their eligibility." The project provides five channels for this process:
1. Through the Paotang application.
2. Through government applications.
3. The project's main website is:https://บัตรสวัสดิการแห่งรัฐ.mof.go.thorhttps://welfare.mof.go.th
4. Via Krungthai Bank ATM machines.
5. Register in person at registration units of five banks (operating during each bank branch's business hours), including:
The 2026 State Welfare Card registration project targets two groups:
1. Existing State Welfare CardholdersMust re-register to confirm eligibility through the five channels designated by the Ministry of Finance.
2. Those previously excludedAccording to the Basic Needs Database (JPT) from the Community Development Department or the Electronic Family Book System (MSO-LOGBOOK) from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security as of 29 May 2026, the Ministry of Interior, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and Pattaya City will facilitate registration and data collection for those missed in welfare rights, then forward the information to the Ministry of Finance for eligibility verification.
General individuals who have never had a card cannot register in the 2026 round unless they are in the aforementioned databases.
However, they can initially request government assistance through the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security to receive help and have their data included for preparation for registration in the next State Welfare Card registration round. The Cabinet has instructed the Ministry of Finance to reopen registration within two years from the first use date of rights under the 2026 State Welfare Card project. Please follow updates from the Ministry of Finance.
Applicants for the 2026 State Welfare Card will have their eligibility results announced on 17 July 2026 and can start using their rights from 1 August 2026 after identity verification. New applicants verifying identity after 1 August 2026 can use the card from their verification date.
Those currently receiving Thai Chua Thai Plus (60/40) benefits and passing eligibility checks will receive State Welfare Card benefits instead. Such individuals are urged to verify their identity via the Paotang app promptly to receive card benefits from the announcement date (17 July 2026). The State Welfare Card benefits start on 1 August 2026.
If identity verification for the State Welfare Card is not completed before 1 August 2026, the Thai Chua Thai Plus (60/40) benefits will be terminated.
