On 5 June 2026, reporters reported that the Facebook page "Krungthai Care" of Krungthai Bank posted a notice about the Krungthai NEXT app shutdown, stating, "To enhance service quality, we will close the Krungthai NEXT app for system development on Wednesday, 10 June 2026, from 01:00 to 06:00. Please plan your transactions ahead. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. For more information, contact Krungthai Contact Center at 02 111 1111."
The temporary shutdown of the Krungthai NEXT app during this period to improve services does not affect spending under the Thai Ruam Thai Plus (60/40) program via the Paotang app, since transactions for that program are not available during those hours.
