Regarding the hit-and-run accident involving a foreigner riding a motorcycle who collided with a person and fled on Koh Phangan, Surat Thani Province, in the early hours of 23 May 2026, resulting in "Ajarn Mor Ton," Associate Professor Dr. Teerasak Kaewomtawong, a selfless volunteer medical instructor, sustaining severe injuries and requiring urgent treatment at Ramathibodi Hospital. Most recently, on 7 June 2025, the Vimut Hospital Facebook page posted a statement expressing condolences and mourning the passing of Associate Professor Dr. Teerasak Kaewomtawong, a respiratory and critical care specialist at the Lung Health Center.
