On 9 June 2026 GMT+7, the Student Loan Fund (SLF) announced it has finished updating the debt recalculation system for over 3.9 million borrower accounts. The updated information was made available on the SLF.Connect application on 7 June 2026 GMT+7. The SLF also addressed complaints from borrowers on social media reporting that their accounts showed debts reappearing after being closed or that their debt balances increased following the system update. The SLF said it will promptly correct these errors.
The SLF revealed that the debt recalculation system update (Recalculation) has been completed for more than 3.9 million accounts and the data was uploaded to the SLF.Connect application on 7 June 2026 GMT+7.
However, there remain approximately 200,000 borrower accounts displayed on the SLF.Connect app with incorrect balances. To avoid confusion, the SLF has temporarily restored the previous debt statuses for these 200,000 accounts on the app. For these accounts, the SLF will display the message: "The SLF is currently updating your debt balance. Once completed, the updated information will be shown again when the system is ready. Please contact the SLF if you wish to close your account."
The SLF apologized for any inconvenience caused and pledged to expedite the system updates to provide all borrowers with accurate and up-to-date debt information. For further inquiries, borrowers can contact the SLF through its official LINE account or call 0 2016 4888.
