How to Check Registration Status for the State Welfare Card 2026 at https://welfare.mof.go.th

Progress of "State Welfare Card Registration Project 2026" The project aims to assist low-income citizens who truly meet the target criteria to receive basic government welfare rights and improve their quality of life. Registration opens from 4 June 2026 until 21 June 2026.

Existing State Welfare Card holders can check their 2026 registration status at the website card.welfare.mof.go.th or welfare.mof.go.th by verifying their identity via the ThaiD application or by entering their ID number and birthdate.

For those without the previous State Welfare Card, through which channels can they register?

The 2026 State Welfare Card registration project targets two groups:

1. Existing cardholders must re-register to confirm their rights through five channels designated by the Ministry of Finance.

2. Those missing from the database, according to the Basic Needs Database (JPT) of the Community Development Department or the electronic family record system (MSO - LOGBOOK) of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security as of 29 May 2026. The Ministry of Interior, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and Pattaya City will facilitate on-site registration for these individuals and collect their data to forward to the Ministry of Finance for eligibility verification.

How to check the "State Welfare Card 2026" registration status

2. Click the menu "Check Registration Status"

3. Choose "Check data with Digital ID" or "Check data with ID card number"

4. Enter the details and click "Check Data"

5. The screen will display the State Welfare Card registration results

There are three types of registration status:

  • "Registration Confirmed"

Applicants should wait for the eligibility verification results and do not need to take further action. The results will be announced on 17 July 2026.

  • "Incorrect ID Card Information"

Applicants must re-register because their ID card information is incorrect.

  • "Under Review of Applicant's ID Card Information"

Applicants should check their registration status again the following day.

If self-registration fails, applicants do not need to use the same channel again. They can contact any of the five participating banks' registration units for assistance.

What benefits does the new 2026 "State Welfare Card" provide?

The benefits remain the same, offering relief for living expenses including essential goods from local economy development discount stores (Thong Fah stores), transportation costs, cooking gas, electricity, and water bills, detailed as follows:

1. A monthly credit of 300 baht per person for essential consumer goods, educational supplies, and agricultural raw materials at Thong Fah stores and other stores designated by the Ministry of Commerce.

2. A discount credit of 80 baht per person for cooking gas every three months at stores specified by the Ministry of Energy.

3. A monthly transportation credit of 750 baht per person for public transport, usable on eight types of transport:

  • Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) buses
  • Transport Company Limited (BorKorSor) buses
  • Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited (BTS Skytrain), Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT), and Eastern High-Speed Rail linking three airports Company Limited
  • Trains
  • Private buses affiliated with BMTA, private buses, and Bangkok Metropolitan government vehicles
  • Private buses affiliated with BorKorSor and other private buses
  • Songthaew (shared taxis)
  • Public passenger boats

4. Electricity cost relief providing a subsidy of 315 baht per household per month. If electricity consumption exceeds the limit, the cardholder bears the full electricity cost.

5. Water bill relief providing a subsidy of 100 baht per household per month. If water usage exceeds 100 baht but not more than 315 baht, beneficiaries receive a 100 baht subsidy and pay the remainder themselves. If usage exceeds 315 baht, the beneficiary pays the full water bill.
