Reporters have noted that the "Ministry of Finance" in collaboration with state utility enterprises, has issued a reminder to eligible participants of the 2022 State Welfare Card program, or existing cardholders, urging them to promptly register to receive discounts on utility expenses for electricity and water to qualify for the second half of the year.
Meanwhile, the "Comptroller General's Department" posted a reminder to existing State Welfare Cardholders stating, "Registration to receive electricity and water bill discounts for 2022 cardholders ends on 19 June 2026 at 4:30 p.m."
This registration round covers utility usage starting July 2026, with the final billing statement accepted for the discount being the August 2026 bill.
