In the case where Mr. Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, revealed that the first 2026 meeting of the National Rice Policy and Management Committee (NRPMC) approved the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives' proposal to extend the budget for the rice farmer support and promotion project suitable to land potential for the 2025/26 production year.
This budget extension aims to assist the group of 233,729 households of farmers who have not yet received benefits, under the measure of 1,000 baht per rai, capped at 10 rai or 10,000 baht per household, with an additional budget of 1,846.96 million baht. This raises the project's total budget from 37,906.20 million baht to 39,753.16 million baht to ease production costs and sustain farmers' incomes. The committee assigned the Rice Department, as NRPMC secretariat, to submit the proposal to the Ministry of Finance for Cabinet consideration.
For the original budget of 36,772.52 million baht, payments have been completed for 4.45 million households totaling 36,378.74 million baht, with transfers ongoing for an additional 59,794 households and a remaining balance of 393.78 million baht.
The budget extension for the rice farmer support and land suitability promotion project for the 2025/26 production year targets
For farmers registered as rice growers in the 2025/26 production year, they can verify eligibility for the 1,000 baht per rai support and track payment status via the Department of Agricultural Extension's farmer registration system through the following channels:
1. Farmers can check their data and participation status in government measures athttps://efarmer.doae.go.ththen click the check menu.
2. The system will prompt for the national ID number and Laser code on the back of the card.
3. After entering, the system will display the farmer's data and participation status in government support programs.
4. If the eFarmer system status shows "Registration completed," the farmer should wait for approval and payment transfer to their BAAC account according to the scheduled disbursement cycle.
For new and existing farmers who need to register or update their records, registration can be done via various channels with the following procedures:
1. Submit data at the designated registration point.
- Existing farmers with the same plots can submit data at any district agricultural office.
- New farmers or existing farmers adding new plots should submit at the district office where the plot is located. If there are multiple plots in different districts, submit to the district with the main plot (the district with the most plots).
