Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA)The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) announced the necessity to temporarily "cut power" in Bangkok and Samut Prakan on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, to upgrade and maintain the electricity distribution system for better efficiency and to install equipment to convert the electrical system from overhead lines to underground cables. For safety during the operation, MEA must temporarily suspend power supply in several areas as detailed below.

Power outage on 17 June 2026 in Bangkok areas

• Chalerm Phrakiat R.9 Road, Chalerm Phrakiat R.9 Soi 15, from 08:30 to 15:30.
• Permsin Road, Permsin Soi 24/1, Ueathorn Bangkhen Village (Khlong Thanon), from 08:30 to 15:00.
• Pradit Manutham Road, in front of Wat Rama 9 Dhammasathan, from 08:30 to 15:30.
• Laem Thong Sports Village 40 Road, Laem Thong Sports Village Soi 40, intersections 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 19G, 23, from 09:00 to 15:30.
• Along Borommaratchachonnani Road at 62/6, from the entrance of Soi Borommaratchachonnani 62/6 to inside the Green Niche Alley project, entire project area, from 09:00 to 15:00.

Power outage on 17 June 2026 in Nonthaburi areas

• Along Bang Duan-Suan Som Road, from house number 31/6 to 31/11, from 09:30 to 13:00.
• Road beside Khlong Dan Central Prison, in front of the Chonharaphichit Gate Office, from 08:30 to 15:30.
