The maximum tremor intensity reached 5- on the Japanese scale. These tremors were also felt in surrounding areas, including Tokyo.
Following this event, the Japan Meteorological Agency reported that no tsunami was generated. Thai nationals are advised to stay vigilant to avoid potential impacts and to closely monitor official Japanese updates in case of aftershocks.
