On 17 June 2026, the Facebook page ofthe Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 Frontposted a message stating that on 17 June 2026, militants detonated a bomb targeting Territorial Defense volunteers in Ban Klang, Village No. 5, Ban Klang Subdistrict, Panare District, Pattani Province, while they were transporting drug patients for treatment. Two officials were injured: Sergeant Major Ilyas Dola, deputy leader of the Ban Nok subdistrict protection unit, and volunteer Maliki Jeawe.
Most recently, the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 Front reported that Sergeant Major Ilyas Dola died from his injuries despite doctors’ best efforts, bringing great sorrow to his family, colleagues, and the local community.
