Last Day for State Welfare Cardholders to Register for Electricity and Water Bill Discounts

Reminder for existing state welfare cardholders who have not yet registered to receive discounts on "electricity and water bills". They can apply for the benefits until the final day, 19 June 2026.

Following the announcement from the Comptroller General's Department, the department has issued a reminder to existing state welfare cardholders about registering for electricity and water bill discounts for those holding the 2022 welfare card. The last day to register for these discounts is today, 19 June 2026, until 16:30.

This registration round covers the electricity and water usage for July 2026, with the final billing cycle eligible for discounts being the August 2026 bill.

Conditions for registering to receive "electricity and water bill" discounts for existing state welfare cardholders:

• The electricity relief measure provides a subsidy of 315 baht per household per month. If electricity usage exceeds this amount, the welfare cardholder is responsible for paying the full electricity cost.
• The water bill relief measure provides a subsidy of 100 baht per household per month. If water usage costs exceed 100 baht but do not exceed 315 baht, the cardholder still receives the 100 baht subsidy and must pay the amount exceeding 100 baht themselves. If usage exceeds 315 baht, the cardholder pays the entire water bill.

In summary, existing state welfare cardholders from 2022 who have already registered for the electricity and water bill discounts do not need to re-register. However, those who have not yet registered can do so starting today until the final deadline on 19 June 2026 at 16:30 only.
