
"Registration for the State Welfare Card 2026" is underway. The Ministry of Finance warns over 700,000 existing cardholders to urgently confirm their identity by 21 June 2026 via five channels, with the beneficiary list to be announced on 17 July.
Project progress update. "Registration for the State Welfare Card 2026" aims to assist low-income citizens who genuinely meet the target criteria to receive basic government welfare and improve their quality of life. Registration opened on 4 June 2026 and will continue until 21 June 2026.
As of 19 June 2026, Mr. Lawaron Saengsanit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, stated that more than 730,000 existing State Welfare Card holders who have not yet verified their identity must do so by Sunday, 21 June 2026, before 23:00 hrs. Failure to comply will result in immediate disqualification from the program. Currently, there are 13.17 million existing cardholders, with 12.44 million having completed registration.
Five channels are available for registration and verification:
1. Paotang application
2. Government applications

Regarding verification for two other groups: those without a State Welfare Card but listed in the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Social Development and Human Security databases—totaling 1.04 million people—registration is nearly complete, with only 4,108 yet to register.
Meanwhile, for those not listed and needing to register anew, 5.17 million have applied so far. Interested individuals can register through local authorities such as village heads, subdistrict chiefs, or district offices in Bangkok and Pattaya until 21 June 2026.
Mr. Lawaron added that after registration closes, authorities will screen all beneficiaries including existing cardholders, those missed but listed in Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Social Development databases, and new applicants.
Following screening, the final list of approved State Welfare Card beneficiaries will be announced on 17 July 2026. He confirmed that this round will not use parental tax deduction records to disqualify applicants.
