The Comptroller General’s Department updates the state welfare benefits for July 2026. Holders of the State Welfare Card can clearly check which benefits they are entitled to receive via their smart ID cards.
Mr. Thanachok Rungthipannon, Deputy Director-General of the Comptroller General’s Department and spokesperson, stated that under the 2022 State Welfare Registration Project, eligible individuals can use their rights through their smart ID cards. In July 2026, they will receive the following benefits:
They will receive allowances for purchasing consumer goods and transportation (these cannot be withdrawn as cash or accumulated for the next month), consisting of:
- A 1,000-baht allowance per person per month for purchasing goods. This applies for 4 months (March 2026).
- An 80-baht discount allowance for purchasing cooking gas. This applies per person every 3 months (July - September 2026).
- A 750-baht allowance for public transportation. This applies per person per month and covers buses (BorKorSor), trains, BMTA buses, skytrains, and private buses participating in the program.
- A living allowance will be paid to low-income elderly people. Those eligible under the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project will receive 100 baht per month for 4 months (March - June 2026), according to the months they qualified.
Payments will be transferred to bank accounts specified by the recipients through consent forms, including accounts shared with others or PromptPay accounts linked to their ID numbers. Transfers will be made in 3 rounds grouped by birth date.
- An additional disability allowance of 200 baht per month will be provided. This is for eligible persons with disability ID cards who already receive 800 baht monthly.
The funds will be transferred to bank accounts linked to the 13-digit ID number via PromptPay, or to bank accounts of the recipients or their authorized representatives who currently receive the 800-baht disability allowance.
