The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) invites the public to participate in the "Thai Chuey Thai Plus" program under the government policy to reduce travel expenses, promote domestic tourism, stimulate spending and economic circulation, and support the use of rail public transport. The fare discount is available from 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2026, with the government subsidizing 60% of the fare while passengers pay only 40%. The subsidy is capped at 200 baht per person per day and 1,000 baht per person per month, according to the program's terms and conditions.
Eligible passengers can pay for tickets on all trains and seating classes. Excluding group tickets, monthly passes, and tour tickets. Three simple steps:
1. Open the Paotang app.
2. Select the “Thai Chuey Thai Plus” benefit.
3. Buy train tickets and pay through the app at 117 participating train stations nationwide.
For the Thai Chuey Thai Plus program that allows train ticket purchases, passengers can buy tickets only on the day of travel by purchasing and paying at 117 participating train stations. There is no limit on the number of times the benefit can be used within the subsidy limit, and it can be combined with other SRT fare discounts under specified conditions.
