Regarding the incident "an 11-year-old child" stole his father's pickup truck and drove from home toward Mukdahan city, before losing control and crashing into a group of walking Buddhist pilgrims near Ban Na Wiang Kae, Na Si Nuan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Mukdahan Province. The crash caused 5 monks to die at the scene and many injuries. Later, 3 more monks were reported dead, bringing the total death toll to 8, as previously reported.
Most recently, Mr. Chayathorn Thongburan, also known as Aoy Saengsin, a singer from Ubon Ratchathani Province with the nickname "Parade Car King," famous for songs with over 200 million views including hits like "Complications," "Danger Line," and "Passing Peacefully," posted a message on his Facebook page.Aoy Saengsin (Chayatorn Thongburan)which has over 460,000 followers, stating, "One of the monks in the news is my own father. He has passed away."
