The Nurses' Association of Thailand praises "P'Watt" Wiwat Laonoi a nurse at Ban Na Sinuan Health Promoting Hospital, who volunteered to perform CPR on victims injured in an accident where an 11-year-old boy drove into a group of walking monks.
Regarding the accident in which an 11-year-old boy drove a pickup truck into a group of walking monks on the highway at kilometer marker 6 on Highway 2034 near Ban Na Wiang Kae, Na Sinuan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Mukdahan Province, on 2 July 2026, resulting in 10 monk fatalities and multiple injuries, as previously reported,
Besides online users expressing sorrow over the loss, they also praised Thai kindness after a video appeared showing a woman in a dress who witnessed the accident and immediately provided assistance by performing CPR and moving the injured monks without hesitation. It was later revealed she was "P'Watt," or Ms. Wiwat Laonoi, a specialist professional nurse at Ban Na Sinuan Health Promoting Hospital. She also shared on her personal Facebook that this was the largest emergency she had faced as a nurse and the most intense CPR she had ever performed.

in response to the incident where an 11-year-old boy drove a pickup truck into a group of walking monks on the highway near Ban Na Wiang Kae, Na Sinuan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Mukdahan Province.
In this emergency, Nurse Wiwat Laonoi demonstrated selflessness, composure, and the true spirit of professional nursing by providing assistance, care, and coordination to help the victims to the best of her ability.
The Nurses' Association of Thailand thanks Nurse Wiwat Laonoi for being an exemplary role model in the nursing profession and a force of good that brings pride to all Thai nurses.
