Surveillance footage reveals the moment a village wall collapsed, unleashing a surge of water and foam debris that flooded residents' homes in Bo Win Subdistrict, Chonburi Province.
Following continuous heavy rain overnight in Bo Win Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, the wall of the Boonrak View 2 Village project in Village No. 7 collapsed. Foam debris from the adjacent waste sorting area overflowed and flooded residents' homes, causing distress and damage to many households.
At 15:30 on 4 July 2026, Mr. Narit Niramaiwong, Governor of Chonburi Province, personally visited the area to monitor the situation. He urged local administrative organizations, administrative units, and relevant agencies to coordinate efforts to urgently clean up foam debris, clear pathways for villagers, and restore the affected area to relieve residents' hardships as quickly as possible. The Bo Win Subdistrict Administrative Organization is working urgently with Si Racha district officials to collect foam waste.
The Chonburi governor also met with affected residents to hear their concerns and ordered related agencies to promptly survey and assess the damage to homes and property, in order to provide assistance in accordance with government regulations.
In addition, he ordered a thorough inspection of the waste sorting operator adjacent to the village, reviewing their operations, permits, and community impact mitigation measures. If illegal activities or lack of proper permits are found, strict legal action will be taken. He also emphasized that all agencies should implement measures to prevent similar incidents from recurring, ensuring safety and confidence for local residents.
