
"Cyber Police" warn against posting and sharing obscene clips from a viral social media sensation "Doraemon Pillow - Green Flask" cautioning of up to 5 years in prison and a 100,000 baht fine
On 8 July 2026, the Facebook pageCyber Police – Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD)posted a message stating "Posting or sharing obscene clips can result in up to 5 years imprisonment and a 100,000 baht fine." It noted, "Regarding the pink bedroom scene with the unfortunate Doraemon on the bed, this may qualify as importing pornographic material into a public system. Importing any obscene computer data accessible to the public
is punishable by imprisonment up to 5 years or a fine up to 100,000 baht, or both, under the Computer Crime Act B.E. 2550 (2007) and its amendments, Section 14 (3)."
Those who share or forward pornographic material may also be liable for disseminating or forwarding obscene computer data, even if not the original creators or posters, with penalties of up to 5 years imprisonment or a fine up to 100,000 baht or both, under Section 14 (5) of the same law.
The Cyber Police therefore warn not to post or share obscene media on social media or the internet, as impulsive actions can lead to imprisonment. However, they encourage sharing this warning post widely."
