On 8 Jul 2026 GMT+7, our news team visited Ban Warapraisri School in Chom Phra District, Surin Province, to meet Setthawut Numnutsri, or Nong Chaiyo, a 7-year-old first grader who sang in the viral clip. We found him practicing singing and dancing with friends in preparation for the audition at Sangkha School in Sangkha District, Surin Province, for the preliminary round of a traditional singing competition.
Nong Chaiyo expressed his gratitude for all the support and affirmed his commitment to practice and improve himself. He shared that his dream is to become a singer and actor to take care of his family.
Meanwhile, Mr. Samniang Numnutsri, 46, Nong Chaiyo's father, revealed that his son loves singing and often sings with his older sister, practicing by watching YouTube.
