Buppharam Police Station announced a "complete traffic closure" on all outbound lanes of Prachathipok Road from Ban Khaek Intersection to Wongwian Yai. On the inbound side, a special lane was opened to allow vehicles to use two outbound traffic lanes.
A water leak occurred into the MRT tunnel's underground sump pit approximately 30 meters below the road surface near Wongwian Yai Intersection. This is part of the Purple Line MRT construction project between Tao Poon and Rat Burana (Kanchanaphisek Ring), Contract 4, covering the area from Phuttha Bridge to Dao Khanong, on 8 July 2026.
Regarding this matter, on 9 July 2026, the Thonburi District Office's Facebook page posted a notice urging the public to avoid the route.
