Timeline for Announcement of Results "2026 State Welfare Card" Reaffirming that the screening criteria for both existing and new registrants use the same system-wide standard, with guidance on how to check results and what beneficiaries need to do after qualifying.

Progress Update 2026 State Welfare Registration Project After opening registration from 4 to 21 June 2026 for existing State Welfare Card holders and target groups who were missed in the previous round to apply for basic government welfare and improve their quality of life,

On 13 July 2026, Mr. Akniti Nititanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, revealed that in today’s Cabinet meeting, the Ministry of Finance will propose conditions and criteria for 2026 State Welfare Card eligibility. This reviews the previous Cabinet resolution from 9 June 2026 to establish standard criteria for screening applicants.

According to the Ministry of Finance, this review aims to make the screening more accurate and fair. Key points expected to be proposed to the Cabinet include:

  • Removing the tax deduction criteria: parental tax deductions will no longer be considered in eligibility assessment.
  • Debt criterion: total credit debt across all accounts must not exceed 100,000 baht.
  • Uniform standards: both existing and new beneficiaries must be screened under the same criteria.

Timeline for announcing the 2026 State Welfare Card registration results

Mr. Lawaron Saengsanit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, explained that this Cabinet proposal is to finalize which criteria will be used or discarded. Once approved, there will be no need to resubmit beneficiary numbers for Cabinet approval, as this is the direct responsibility of the Public-Private State Welfare Committee for the Grassroots Economy and Society. The schedule and process for announcing eligible applicants are as follows:

  • 14 July 2026Submit final screening criteria to the Cabinet for consideration
  • 16 July 2026Meeting of the Public-Private State Welfare Committee to confirm screening data in the system
  • 17 July 2026Official announcement of eligible applicants' names

The Permanent Secretary added that all government databases are now interconnected, enabling fast and accurate screening to meet the 17 July announcement deadline.

Channels for Announcing Eligibility Results for the "2026 State Welfare Card"

For registrants confirming their eligibility for the "2026 State Welfare Card," including existing holders and those previously missed who registered to participate, the Ministry of Interior allows checking eligibility results through four channels:

1. Via the "Pao Tang" application

2. Via the "Tang Rat" (State) application

4. Registration units at five banks (services available during each bank's business hours and at their branches):

  • Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC)
  • Government Savings Bank
  • Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited (Krung Thai Bank)
  • Government Housing Bank (GHB)
  • Islamic Bank of Thailand (IBT)


How to Check Registration Results and Next Steps After Qualifying for Welfare Card

On 17 July 2026, eligibility results will be announced via four channels, and benefits can be used starting 1 August 2026. There are two cases:

Case of qualifying for benefits

Identity verification (e-KYC) required from 17 July 2026 to 12 January 2027

  • Existing State Welfare Card holders do not need to verify identity again.
  • All new cardholders must verify their identity via the Pao Tang app and at registration units of the five banks.
  • If authorizing someone else to use the benefits, both existing and new cardholders must verify identity at the registration units of the five banks.

Case of not qualifying for benefits

  • Applicants can appeal from 17 to 31 July 2026 through the Pao Tang app, Tang Rat app, the project website, and registration units of the five banks. Document corrections can be made until 16 August 2026.
  • Appeal results will be announced on 14 September 2026 via the project website "บัตรสวัสดิการแห่งรัฐ.mof.go.th" and the Pao Tang app.

Qualified beneficiaries can start using benefits from 1 August 2026, and those approved on appeal can begin using benefits from 1 October 2026 onward.
