On 14 July 2026, Mr. Winij Wisetsuwanphumi, Director of the Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) and spokesperson for the Ministry of Finance, announced that today the Cabinet approved additional proposals for the 2026 State Welfare Card registration project from the Community Welfare Committee for the Grassroots Economy and Society. The details are as follows.
1. The eligibility criteria excluding individuals from receiving state welfare rights will not include cases where taxpayers claim tax deductions for parental support. Additionally, when evaluating eligibility criteria involving total loan amounts of 100,000 baht, agricultural loans will not be counted.
2. The 2026 project will expand its target group to include vulnerable populations without the State Welfare Card, identified by the Ministry of Interior during field registration surveys from 4 to 21 June 2026, totaling 5.4 million people. These individuals will proceed to eligibility verification as the next step.
