
Announcement of the “State Welfare Card,” also known as the Poor People's Card. On 17 July 2026, check exactly when benefits start and what welfare services are provided.
Progress update. The 2026 State Welfare Registration Project. After opening registration from 4 to 21 June 2026 for existing State Welfare Card holders and target groups who were previously excluded to apply for basic government welfare rights and improve quality of life.
The eligibility results will be announced on 17 July 2026 from 6:00 a.m. onwards via the following four channels.
1. Through the “Paotang” application.

Those who pass the eligibility check can start using benefits from 1 August 2026, divided into two cases as follows.
Case: Eligible recipients.
Identity verification (e-KYC) from 17 July 2026 to 12 January 2027.
Case: Ineligible recipients.
Those approved will start using benefits from 1 August 2026, and those approved after appeal from 1 October 2026 onwards.
1. A fund of 300 baht per person per month for purchasing essential consumer goods, educational materials, and agricultural inputs from local economic development stores and others designated by the Ministry of Commerce.
2. A discount fund of 80 baht per person per three months for purchasing cooking gas from stores designated by the Ministry of Energy.
3. A fund of 750 baht per person per month for public transportation fares, usable on eight types of transport including:
4. Electricity bill relief measures: a subsidy of 315 baht per household per month. If electricity usage exceeds the set limit, recipients must cover the full excess amount.
5. Water bill relief measures: a subsidy of 100 baht per household per month. If water bills exceed 100 baht but do not exceed 315 baht, recipients receive a 100 baht subsidy and must pay any excess themselves. If usage exceeds 315 baht, recipients bear the full water bill cost.
