On 16 July 2026, reporters noted that the Facebook page Ktc Real Privileges posted a message informing cardholders that the KTC Mobile app was not working. The relevant authorities acknowledged the problem and were urgently working to fix it.
By 15:40, an update was posted stating, "KTC would like to inform that the KTC Mobile app is now functioning normally."
However, prior to this, many customers who tried to use the app were affected, with most noticing unauthorized money deductions despite no actual spending. Additionally, attempts to check transactions through the app failed due to access issues.
