Bangkoks Public Works Department Inspects Theparak Road Intersection Bridge, Confirms No Cracks—Termites Paths Identified

Bangkok's Public Works Department inspected the bridge structure at Theparak Road intersection and confirmed the marks are termite pathways, not cracks.

On 16 Jul 2026, the fan pageof Bangkok's Public Works Departmentposted images and a message stating that, following concerns on social media about cracks found under the Theparak Road intersection bridge,

the department conducted an on-site inspection and found no cracks in the bridge pier structure. Instead, the marks were termite pathways on one pier, which do not affect the pier’s structural stability in any way.

The connecting road between Vibhavadi Rangsit Road and Phahonyothin Road was opened on 29 Jun 2026, improving east-west travel convenience, easing Don Mueang traffic congestion, and shortening travel time to Don Mueang Airport without detours or waiting at traffic lights.

Residents are encouraged to help monitor and report city issues via the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration hotline at 1555 or through the Traffy Fondue application.
