After the Ministry of Finance announced the eligibility verification results for the "2026 State Welfare Registration Program" for both existing registrants and those who missed out but registered through the Ministry of Interior on 17 July 2026, via the project website, Pao Tang app, government applications, and registration units at five banks.

The eligibility verification results for the 2026 State Welfare Registration Program showed 9.51 million people qualified out of 18.82 million registrants. The qualified individuals are divided into two groups as follows:

1. Existing cardholders can start using their benefits under the 2026 program from 1 August 2026 onward.

2. Newly qualified individuals must verify their identity (e-KYC) via the Pao Tang application or at one of the five registration banks before they can start using benefits from 1 October 2026 onward.

Identity verification (e-KYC) channels for new recipients of the "2026 State Welfare Card"

All newly qualified individuals in the 2026 State Welfare Registration Program must complete identity verification (e-KYC), which can be done through two channels:

1. Pao Tang application: from 17 July 2026 to 12 January 2027.

2. Registration units at five banks.

  • Krungthai Bank: from 17 July 2026 to 12 January 2027.
  • Government Savings Bank, Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), Government Housing Bank (GH Bank), and Islamic Bank of Thailand: from 17 July 2026 to 14 October 2026.

Those who need to authorize others must complete identity verification (e-KYC) only at the registration units of the five banks.

When will funds be credited and when can benefits begin for the "2026 State Welfare Registration Program"?

After announcing eligibility results, existing cardholders can start using their benefits under the 2026 program from 1 August 2026 onward.

New cardholders must follow these steps with the timeline:

  • 17 July 2026 – 12 January 2027: Complete identity verification (e-KYC).
  • 17–31 July 2026: Submit requests for rights review.
  • 17 July – 16 August 2026: Submit documents for rights review corrections.
  • 21 September 2026: Announce rights review results.
  • 1 October 2026: Start using benefits for newly approved and reviewed individuals.

Those currently receiving the "Thai Chuey Thai Plus (60/40)" benefits who pass eligibility verification will receive the State Welfare Card benefits instead.

Therefore, such individuals are urged to verify their identity via the Pao Tang app to receive the State Welfare Card benefits starting from the announcement date (17 July 2026). Benefits will begin on 1 August 2026. Failure to verify by 1 August 2026 will result in loss of the Thai Chuey Thai Plus (60/40) benefits.

What benefits do those with the "2026 State Welfare Card" who have verified their identity receive?

Those who pass eligibility verification and complete identity verification will receive the following benefits:

1. A monthly allowance of 300 baht per person for essential consumer goods, educational materials, and agricultural inputs at low-price local economic development stores and other stores designated by the Ministry of Commerce.

2. An 80 baht discount on cooking gas every three months at stores designated by the Ministry of Energy.

3. A 750 baht monthly allowance for public transport fares, usable on eight types of transport systems:

  • - Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) buses.
  • - Transport Company Limited (BorKorSor) buses.
  • - Electric trains including Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS), Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT), and the Eastern High-Speed Rail linking three airports.
  • - Trains.
  • - Private buses cooperating with BMTA, private buses, and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration vehicles.
  • - Private buses cooperating with BorKorSor and other private buses.
  • - Songthaew (shared taxis).
  • - Public passenger boats, with no spending limits by vehicle type.

4. Electricity bill relief: a subsidy of 315 baht per household per month. If usage exceeds the set amount, beneficiaries must pay the full electricity cost themselves.

5. Water bill relief: a subsidy of 100 baht per household per month. If water usage costs exceed 100 baht but do not exceed 315 baht, the beneficiary pays the amount exceeding 100 baht. If usage exceeds 315 baht, the beneficiary must cover the entire water bill.
