The National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) invites you to observe the phenomenon "Venus Beside the Moon" on 17 July 2026, visible toward the western sky
NARIT's Facebook pageThe National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT)posted a message stating, "Astronomical calendar for the evening of 17 July 2026: Venus beside the Moon, visible in the western sky from about 7:00 PM to 9:20 PM."
However, regarding the "Venus beside the Moon" event this is a regular astronomical phenomenon that occurs because the Moon and planets continuously change positions along the ecliptic. From Earth's perspective, the Moon and planets appear in the same direction or close to each other in the sky.
