Srinakharinwirot University issued its third statement on the fact-finding investigation concerning the local exam case, finding evidence to discipline one staff member and ordering the appointment of a serious disciplinary inquiry committee to proceed with the investigation according to protocol.
On 17 July 2026 GMT+7, Srinakharinwirot University released its third statement reporting progress on the fact-finding investigation regarding allegations related to the competitive exam process for local government civil service or employee positions under the Department of Local Administration, following the university's order appointing a fact-finding committee.
The fact-finding committee has now completed its work and submitted the findings to the university. The results show initial evidence and facts sufficient to proceed with disciplinary action against one staff member of Srinakharinwirot University. Consequently, the university has ordered the establishment of a serious disciplinary inquiry committee to continue the investigation according to proper procedures.
The establishment of the serious disciplinary inquiry committee is a legal process designed to thoroughly gather evidence and provide the accused the opportunity to fully explain and present evidence. Therefore, this stage does not yet consider the individual guilty of disciplinary misconduct until the committee completes its investigation and the university issues a lawful order.
The university recognizes that this incident affects public trust and the university's image. It has therefore expedited the fact-finding investigation from the outset and is conducting disciplinary procedures with care and fairness. The university is also fully cooperating with all state agencies to reveal the truth and ensure those responsible are held accountable under the law.
Srinakharinwirot University will not ignore any conduct that undermines integrity, regardless of who is involved. If the investigation confirms wrongdoing, the university will strictly enforce laws and regulations without exception, prioritizing the public interest above all.
