Following the Ministry of Finance announced the eligibility verification results for the project "Registration for State Welfare 2026" for applicants confirming eligibility, both existing and those previously missed nationwide, via the project website, Paotang application, government apps, and registration units at five banks,

recently, Mr. Akniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, revealed that 9.51 million applicants met the qualifications for the 2026 State Welfare, while 9.31 million were disqualified. The high number of disqualifications results from the government tightening and improving the screening system.

Registered data was cross-checked thoroughly against various government databases, such as tax records, land ownership, income, and vehicle ownership, to ensure only genuinely low-income individuals qualify, effectively filtering out those not truly needy.

Citizens can check their own eligibility in the system. If disqualified, the system clearly explains which conditions were not met to ensure transparency and allow for appeals.

How to check eligibility for the "State Welfare Card 2026" via the project website

1. Visit the State Welfare Registration 2026 websitehttps://บัตรสวัสดิการแห่งรัฐ.mof.go.thorhttps://welfare.mof.go.th

2. Click on "Check Registration Status" or(Click here)

3. Check your information by one of two methods:

• Check using Digital ID
• Check using Citizen ID number

4. If checking by Citizen ID number, enter the following details:

• Citizen ID number
• Date of birth
• Enter the characters shown in the image above

5. After entering the information, click "Check Information"

6. The screen will then display the State Welfare Registration results

The eligibility result screen for the "State Welfare Card 2026" has three possible statuses:

• Status "Did not meet eligibility criteria"

Applicants who did not qualify should press the check results button and confirm the review request by 31 July 2026.

• Status "Met eligibility criteria"

Newly qualified applicants or previous ones who authorized others must complete identity verification (e-KYC) by 12 January 2027.

• Status "Met eligibility criteria"

Applicants have already completed identity verification (e-KYC).

For those disqualified in 2026, they may request a review from 17 to 31 July 2026 via four main channels. After applying for review, they must contact verification units to correct data by 16 August 2026. Then the eligibility will be re-examined, with review results announced on 21 September 2026 through the same four channels. Approved applicants can start using benefits from 1 October 2026 onward.
