Progress update Registration project for the State Welfare Card Program 2026 After announcing the eligibility results for both existing beneficiaries and those previously missed, existing cardholders who meet the criteria can start using benefits under the 2026 program from 1 August onwards, while newly qualified beneficiaries who have verified their identity can begin using benefits from 1 October 2026.
Mr. Jakrapong Kamjan, Governor of the Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA), said PWA reduces water bill expenses through the State Welfare Card registration project 2026. The government supports water bills for eligible welfare cardholders up to 100 baht per household per month to help ease the cost of living.
If the water bill exceeds 100 baht but does not exceed 315 baht, beneficiaries must pay the excess amount themselves. If the water bill exceeds 315 baht, beneficiaries must bear the full cost. Only one benefit is allowed per household address.
All who qualify under the 2026 State Welfare Card registration project, both existing and new beneficiaries wishing to use the water bill welfare benefit, must re-register to confirm their entitlement. Existing beneficiaries can register from 20 to 25 July 2026 to receive benefits for the August 2026 water usage cycle, with support reflected on the September 2026 water bill.
New beneficiaries can register from 20 July to 25 September 2026 to receive benefits for the October 2026 water usage cycle, with support shown on the November 2026 water bill. Retroactive claims are not permitted.
Those who qualify under the 2026 State Welfare Card registration project and wish to receive the water bill welfare benefit must all re-register, including both existing and new beneficiaries. The registration periods are as follows:
