Regarding the case “Teacher Sai” posted a tearful video pleading for justice after her husband suffered sharp pain from his finger to his left chest, sweating heavily, and went to the hospital. However, the doctor ignored an ECG test, dismissed it as anxiety, and sent him home. He died from shock less than a day later. On 19 July 2026, the Facebook pagePublic Relations, San Camillo Ban Pong Hospitalpublished their second statement expressing condolences and clarifying the hospital’s actions.
It stated that following the medical service incident involving a patient who later died, which caused great sorrow to the family, relatives, and the public, the hospital had previously issued its first statement and suspended the doctor pending the results of internal and external investigations, including from the Medical Council.
The hospital did not take the incident lightly and conducted a thorough investigation, which found that the doctor had indeed used inappropriate language toward the patient and their relatives. The hospital concluded this violated its policy requiring staff not to behave in ways that harm the hospital’s reputation or act impolitely, as well as the Medical Council’s code of medical ethics mandating respectful treatment of patients.
Therefore, the hospital resolved to immediately remove the doctor from duty at San Camillo Hospital, effective from 19 July 2026.
The hospital is prepared to fully support and assist the deceased’s family and extends its deepest condolences. It respectfully welcomes feedback and criticism.
