Registration Channels for Electricity Bill Discounts for State Welfare Card Holders in 2026

Registration channels have opened for electricity bill discounts for State Welfare Card holders in 2026, with a subsidy capped at 315 baht per month. Check the eligibility conditions for receiving the benefit.


After the 2026 State Welfare Card registration project announced qualified beneficiaries, those who meet the criteria can register to receive assistance. Electricity bill discounts. Existing beneficiaries (from the 2022 State Welfare Card registration project) can register for the electricity bill discount immediately, while new eligible persons in 2026 must complete identity verification (e-KYC) at least one day before registering for the benefit.

Conditions for registering to receive the electricity bill discount.

  • The government provides electricity bill assistance up to 315 baht per month.
  • Limited to one household (by household registration number) per entitlement.
  • If electricity use does not exceed 315 baht per month, beneficiaries receive assistance (the bill will show a zero balance).
  • If electricity use exceeds 315 baht per month, beneficiaries must pay the full amount themselves.
  • No retroactive benefits.

Channels to register for the electricity bill discount.

Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA).

Electricity users in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan can check eligibility and register for the electricity bill discount online athttps://meaeservice.mea.or.th/welfare

  • Registration is open from 20 July to 30 September 2026. The online system is available daily from 08:00 to 18:30, including public holidays and weekends.
  • From 1 October 2026 onward, the online system operates from 08:30 to 16:30 on business days only.
  • Those unable to register independently can seek guidance and assistance from staff at any of the 18 MEA districts from 07:30 to 15:30 on business days. For more information, contact MEA Call Center at 1130, available 24 hours.


Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA).

The public can register for the benefit online at PEA’s system athttps://welfareregis.pea.co.thor at any PEA office. For more details, call the PEA Contact Center at 1129.

  • Registration starts from 20 July 2026 at 08:30 onward.
  • Those unable to register online can register onsite at any PEA office. For further assistance, contact the PEA Contact Center at 1129.
