Meteorological Department Issues 10th Warning for Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall Check List of Affected Provinces

Announcement No. 10 "Meteorological Department" issues warning "heavy to very heavy rainfall" effective until 30 July 2026; check list of affected provinces

28 July 2026 GMT+7Meteorological Departmentissues announcement regarding "heavy to very heavy rainfall across Thailand" (effective until 30 July 2026) No. 10 states that from 28 to 30 July 2026, many areas in Thailand will experience heavy rain, with some locations seeing very heavy rainfall in the North, Northeast, Central, East, and West Coast of the South regions.

This is due to a monsoon trough crossing the North and upper Northeast, combined with a fairly strong southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. Citizens are advised to be cautious of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rainfall that may cause flash floods and mountain runoff, especially in foothill areas near waterways and lowlands.

Regarding sea conditions, the upper Andaman Sea is quite rough with waves 2-3 meters high, exceeding 3 meters in areas with thunderstorms. The upper Gulf of Thailand and lower Andaman Sea have waves about 2 meters high, exceeding 2 meters in thunderstorm areas. Mariners in these seas should navigate carefully and avoid areas with thunderstorms. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea are advised not to leave shore during this period.

For safety and to minimize potential impacts, the public is advised to plan their activities and travel cautiously during this time. Please follow updates from the Meteorological Department and access information at http://www.tmd.go.th or call 0-2399-4012-13 and 1182, available 24 hours.
