Opening the timeline "State Welfare Card 2026" When will existing cardholders, qualified applicants, and newly approved rights review groups start using their benefits?
On 27 July 2026, the Cabinet approved the implementation of the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project, as proposed by the Committee on State Welfare for the Grassroots Economy and Society, to ensure that existing State Welfare Card holders continue to receive benefits to ease their living costs during the data update period with verification agencies. This aims to make government welfare distribution more accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with the real living conditions of the people. The Cabinet resolved as follows:
1. Approved that current beneficiaries from the 2022 project will continue to receive benefits until 30 September 2026 (extended from the original 31 July 2026) without any additional procedures. All beneficiaries of the 2026 project will begin receiving State Welfare benefits simultaneously from 1 October 2026 onward.
2. Acknowledged the Committee's approach to reviewing and verifying eligibility data to ensure accuracy and minimize the burden on citizens when correcting information. Data-owning agencies will proactively update information to cover those affected by various eligibility criteria, facilitating convenience and reducing citizens' need to prove information.
To allow sufficient time for citizens to request rights reviews, the Committee extended the review period to 31 August 2026 (from the original 31 July 2026) via the project's four main channels:
Additionally, to further facilitate citizens, the Ministry of Interior supports operations at provincial and district levels by promoting rights verification and establishing One Stop Service (OSS) centers to assist beneficiaries needing identity confirmation via e-KYC and those requesting rights reviews. Village heads, local administrative organizations, and government agencies in the area are also involved in supporting these processes.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance is closely collaborating with the Ministry of Interior and related agencies to connect data and provide assistance according to each agency’s mandate to the public.

The welfare benefits remain unchanged, providing relief for living expenses including essential goods from the Blue Flag discount stores supporting local economies, transportation costs, cooking gas, electricity, and water bills, detailed as follows:
1. A monthly credit of 300 baht per person to purchase essential goods, educational materials, and agricultural inputs from Blue Flag stores and other outlets designated by the Ministry of Commerce.
2. A discount credit of 80 baht per person every three months for cooking gas purchases from stores designated by the Ministry of Energy.
3. A monthly transportation credit of 750 baht per person usable on eight types of public transport systems:
There is no limit on the credit amount per vehicle type.
4. Electricity cost relief: a subsidy of 315 baht per household per month. If consumption exceeds the specified limit, beneficiaries must pay the full electricity cost themselves.
5. Water cost relief: a subsidy of 100 baht per household per month. If water usage costs exceed 100 baht but do not exceed 315 baht, beneficiaries receive the 100 baht subsidy and must pay the excess. If usage exceeds 315 baht, beneficiaries bear the full water cost.
