Hlun Solo, or Mr. Bowornthat Pengsuk, is a well-known Thai backpacker YouTuber and influencer, owner of the pageHlun Solo,named after the nickname "Lun" given by his mother. Many mispronounced it as "Lon," "Mun," or "Louis," but most call him "Hlun," which he adopted as his page name. Currently, he has over 2.5 million followers and is known for solo travel content to more than 50 countries, especially high-risk or hard-to-reach destinations like Somalia, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, and Burundi.

"Hlun Solo": Life struggles and educational background

Hlun graduated from the Faculty of Political Science at Chulalongkorn University. During his childhood, he lived with his grandmother in Kalasin Province. After his father passed away, his grandmother cared for him, took him to school, and shared life lessons. He also revealed his life story on his page:

• During school, Hlun chose to attend a local school near his home, a tuition-free opportunity school. He received whatever scholarships were available and was supported fully by his teachers until he completed grade 12.
• Later, he decided to work at a factory in Bangkok, working 10 hours a day to find a way to continue his studies. Eventually, he earned a full scholarship to Chulalongkorn University, which was a turning point in his life.
• After starting at Chulalongkorn, Hlun began fulfilling his dream to backpack around the world. He worked and saved money since freshman year by doing all sorts of jobs: handing out flyers, collecting donations for foundations, tutoring, selling online, and taking university gigs.
• Finally, after graduation, he saved enough money to backpack for a year and went on to pursue his dream.

He then created his page to share experiences from solo backpacking, hoping his videos and posts would benefit viewers and inspire many people.
