The director of the Institute of Forensic Science revealed preliminary autopsy results for " Hlun Solo " showing he died in Georgia from heart and circulatory system failure. Toxicology results are awaited, and coordination with Georgia is ongoing to obtain detailed autopsy findings for a final conclusion.
At 12:00 PM on 6 Aug 2026 GMT+7, following the sudden death of "Hlun Solo," a travel YouTuber in Georgia, his body was repatriated to Thailand and sent to the Institute of Forensic Science to determine the exact cause of death.
Recently, Assistant Professor Dr. Worawi Waiwut, director of the Institute of Forensic Science, disclosed the initial autopsy results of "Hlun Solo." No signs of physical assault, wounds, bruises, fractures, or severe injuries were found. Most internal organs appeared normal except for the heart, which requires further examination.
Preliminarily, doctors concluded death was due to heart and circulatory system failure. However, the exact cause—whether sudden cardiac death, heart abnormalities, or poisoning—remains undetermined. Toxic substances have not been ruled out. Laboratory tests including tissue sampling, genetic testing related to sudden cardiac death, and toxicology screening will be conducted. The Institute is coordinating through the Ministry of Justice with Georgia to obtain detailed autopsy reports, blood tests, toxicology, chemical analyses, and examination data of vital organs, especially the heart. Georgia has taken tissue samples per international standards, which limits some re-examination in Thailand, but combined results from both countries will aid diagnosis. Additionally, three key questions will be submitted: any suspicious circumstances at the death scene needing clarification, blood test results particularly for toxins or chemicals linked to death, and detailed organ examination results to determine the cause of death precisely.
Doctors also noted that heart failure can result from various causes such as myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, or sudden cardiac death, pending further test results. It is too early to link the death to lifestyle, exercise, stress, or external factors. Regarding toxic gases or chemicals at the scene, doctors emphasized reliance on blood test results from Georgia, as no blood samples were received in Thailand, making foreign data essential for assessment.
Laboratory tests in Thailand are expected to take about one to two weeks. Coordination with Georgia for information will proceed via the Ministry of Justice. The family has been informed of the preliminary autopsy results and may proceed with religious ceremonies since the Institute of Forensic Science has thoroughly collected all evidence.
