• a monsoon trough crossing the north and upper northeast, extending to a low-pressure area over northern Vietnam.
• The southwest monsoon is relatively strong.

Waves and winds are relatively strong.

• Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should avoid going out to sea from 11 to 17 Aug 2026.
• Small boats in the upper Gulf of Thailand are advised to stay ashore specifically on 11 Aug 2026.
