WebsiteThe Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA)Announced that it is necessary to suspend electricity supply in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan on Monday, 17 August 2026. This is to develop and maintain the electrical distribution system for better efficiency and to install equipment for converting overhead power lines to underground cables. For safety during these operations, MEA will temporarily cut power supply in several areas as follows:

Power outage on 17 August 2026 in Bangkok areas

• Serithai Road, Serithai Soi 50 Intersection 1 and nearby lakeside areas from 08:30 to 15:30.
• Charoen Krung Road, opposite Soi 109 from 09:00 to 12:00.
• Suwinthawong Road, in front of Big C Suwinthawong and surrounding areas from 22:00 to 00:00 on 17 August 2026.
• Sriburapha Road, Sriburapha Sois 1, 2, 3, Sale Te restaurant, Nawamin Sois 18 and 20, and nearby areas from 22:00 to 00:00 on 18 August 2026.
