Outpouring of Support for Sergeant Major Channarong After Injury from Landmine Near Chong An Ma Area

Outpouring of support "Sergeant Major Joe," Sergeant Major Channarong Wongsana from the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, Royal Guard, was injured in his right leg after stepping on a landmine while clearing an area near Chong An Ma, Ubon Ratchathani Province.

In the incident where a soldier was injured during a joint landmine clearance mission with the National Mine Action Center (TMAC), the operation was carried out near Chong An Ma in Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani. This area was previously infiltrated by Cambodian forces establishing bases. During the clearance, Sergeant Major Channarong Wongsana, from the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, stepped on a landmine and sustained injuries to his right ankle, right hand, and other wounds on his body.
