Flooding in Nan Temporarily Cuts Off Road to Doi Phu Kha 15 High-Voltage Poles Downed, 23 Tilted Public Advised to Avoid Route

Flooding in Nan has temporarily cut off the road to Doi Phu Kha. Fifteen high-voltage power poles have fallen and 23 are leaning. Authorities have advised the public to avoid the route.


At 14:21 on 19 Aug 2026 GMT+7, the Facebook pageDoi Phu Kha National Parkposted that Doi Phu Kha National Park in Nan province received reports from the Electricity Authority that numerous high-voltage power poles have fallen and are leaning along route 1256, completely cutting off traffic with no passage possible at this time.

Initial inspections found 15 high-voltage poles down and about 23 more leaning, with severe damage.

The park authorities have therefore informed residents and tourists to avoid using this route until the situation is resolved.
