WebsiteThe Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA)has announced a necessary temporary power shutdown in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan on Friday, 21 August 2026, to improve and maintain the electricity distribution system's efficiency and to install equipment converting overhead power lines to underground cables. For safety during these operations, MEA will temporarily suspend power supply in several areas as follows.

Power outages on 21 August 2026 in Bangkok areas

• Liap Khlong Song Road, Soi Liap Khlong Song 1 and nearby areas from 08:30 to 14:00.
• Khu Bon Road, Soi Khu Bon 50 and nearby areas from 08:30 to 13:30.
• Srinakarin Road, near Susco gas station, from 09:00 to 15:30.
• Ladprao 80 Road, Soi Ladprao 80, Intersection 26 from 10:00 to 12:00.
• Along Krung Kasem Road, in front of the Cooperative Promotion Department to the alley beside Wang Thewet from 17:00 to 22:00.

Power outage announcement for 21 August 2026 in Nonthaburi areas

• Bang Phai-Preangyai Road, Soi Anamai Bang Kulaet from 08:30 to 12:00.
• Liap Khlong Prapa Road, from the alley before the entrance to Boonto University (due to removal of a 225 KVA transformer) from 10:00 to 12:00.

Power outage announcement for 21 August 2026 in Samut Prakan areas

• Mahachai Road, Grooveville Village, Bang Na from 09:00 to 13:00.
• Phet Hueng Road, at the end of Soi Phet Hueng 23, specific points only, from 11:00 to 15:00.
• Along Srinakarin Road near Sois Sridan 23, 25, 27 through Soi Sridan 29 from 12:00 to 15:30.
