WebsiteThe Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA)has announced that it is necessary to temporarily suspend electricity supply in areas of Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan on Wednesday, 2 September 2026. This is to develop and maintain the electrical distribution system for improved efficiency and to install equipment to convert the system from overhead lines to underground cables. To ensure safety during this work, MEA must temporarily cut off power in several specified areas as follows.

Power outages on 2 September 2026 in Bangkok areas

• Udom Suk Road, Soi 51, Phonphailin Village Soi, from 08:30 to 15:30.
• Kanchanaphisek Road, Soi Lodawan, Pinklao, Phetkasem, from 08:30 to 12:30.
• Charoen Rat 7 Road, from Soi 29 to Soi 29, from 09:00 to 12:00.
• Pracha Uthit Road, from Pracha Uthit Soi 5, intersections 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4, and 3-5, for high and low voltage pole maintenance, from 09:00 to 14:00.
