State Welfare Card 2026: Summary of Eligibility Results and Next Steps

Summary of those who passed and did not pass the eligibility for the 2026 State Welfare Card, or Poor People’s Card, and the next steps to take to access benefits starting on 1 October 2026.

Progress on the 2026 State Welfare Registration project as of 31 August 2026 at 05:00 shows that 3,139,886 people passed the eligibility check and require identity verification (e-KYC). So far, 2,553,825 have successfully completed e-KYC, representing 81.3%. Meanwhile, 9,314,253 did not pass eligibility, and 4,903,354 of them have applied for a rights review.

31 August 2026 was the final day to request a rights review for those who failed the eligibility check but believed the results were inaccurate or outdated. They could preserve their rights by submitting a review request through designated channels.

Many have asked what current and new State Welfare Card holders need to do after the review submission period closes.

For those who did not pass the criteria but have submitted a rights review. There are still important steps to follow.

• 20 September 2026 is the last day to correct information.
• 30 September 2026 is the official announcement of review results.

So far, 5,011,678 people have submitted rights reviews. Those who wish to check or correct their eligibility review results can contact the eligibility verification unit to verify or update information.
Corrections must align with your evidence and facts and be completed by 20 September 2026.

Which cases do not require information correction?

In the following cases, people do not need to update information or documents at the eligibility verification units during the urgent review process.

• Students in vocational education for rural development or learners pursuing qualification at specified levels.
• Partners in registered ordinary partnerships or limited partnerships, directors or shareholders in companies registered as social enterprises or community enterprises.
• Those listed in securities deposit accounts without ownership rights or holding very low-value securities.
• Those listed as holders of debt instruments without ownership or holding very low-value debt instruments.
• Vehicle-related criteria.
  - Motorcycles older than 15 years.
  - Cars, trailers, and agricultural vehicles under the Motor Vehicle Act older than 20 years.

Note: Except for vehicles with high value or collectible status as specified by the Department of Land Transport in terms of type, model, and year.

What should those who passed the State Welfare Card eligibility do next?

Those who have passed eligibility for the State Welfare Card or Poor People’s Card should remember to complete identity verification (e-KYC) to be ready to use benefits, which begin simultaneously on 1 October 2026.

Identity verification channels.

• Paotang application.
• Registration units at five banks: Krungthai Bank and Paotang app until 12 January 2027; Government Savings Bank, BAAC, GH Bank, and Islamic Bank until 14 October 2026.
• Those who passed eligibility but have not yet completed e-KYC should promptly verify their identity through the specified channels and deadlines to ensure benefit access by 1 October 2026.
