The website of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) announced that it is necessary to carry out work in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, to develop and maintain the electricity distribution system for greater efficiency. This includes installing equipment to convert the electrical system from overhead lines to underground cables. For safety during operations, MEA will temporarily suspend power supply in several areas as follows.

Power outage announcement for 9 September 2026 in Bangkok

• Khum Thong Lam Tai Ting Road, Lake Garden Soi 8, 10-17, from 08:30 to 14:00.
• Krungthep Kreetha Road, Krungthep Kreetha Soi 20, Intersection 9, from 09:00 to 14:00.
• Prasert Manukit Road, Soi Prasert Manukit 24, from 09:00 to 12:00.
• Sam Wa Road, from the entrance of Soi Sam Wa 7/1 to Soi Sam Wa 7/2 and nearby areas, from 10:00 to 12:00.

Power outage announcement for 9 September 2026 in Samut Prakan

• Phet Hueng Road, from the end of Soi Bua Phueng Phatthana 7 to the end of Soi Khlong Phae Phatthana, power outage at specific points, from 08:30 to 16:00.
• Bua Nakharin Road, from the Bang Kaeo motor vehicle inspection station area to the area past Prajak Air shop, from 09:00 to 14:00.
