Due to ongoing regional conflicts in the Middle East among the United States, Israel, and Iran with no immediate resolution in sight, there is a direct impact on crude oil and refined product supplies in the global market. This has caused continued high volatility in domestic fuel prices. To address and prevent fuel shortages, the Energy Policy Administration Committee, in its 11/2569 meeting on 3 September 2026, approved a refinery price reduction of 2.40 baht per liter for rapid diesel starting 16 September 2026 until 31 October 2026. Under the authority of Section 3 (1) of the 2018 Emergency Decree on Prevention and Resolution of Fuel Shortages and Section 3 (1) of the Prime Minister's Order No. 15/2019 dated 4 October 2019 on measures to resolve and prevent fuel shortages, the Energy Policy Administration Committee issued a declaration to reduce refinery prices for rapid diesel effective 16 September 2026 through 31 October 2026 as follows.
