Phra Thamm Wachirakunatharn, also known as Phra Thep Prasitmon or Luang Pho Nen Mahaviro, was born Kosol Siripromkhun on 12 July 1950 in Tha Wasukri Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. He is the son of Mr. Mangkon and Mrs. Thongsuk Siripromkhun.
Education
Ordination as a novice At Wat Don Khet Yannawa, Bangkok, on 12 July 1962, with Phra Kru Kalyan Wisut as the preceptor.
Ordination as a monk At Wat Inpracharam, Ban Phrao Subdistrict, Ban Na District, Nakhon Nayok Province, on 20 February 1970, with Somdet Phra Wanarat (Poon Pathanasiri Maha Thera) of Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklaram, Bangkok, as the preceptor; Phra Thamm Voranayok of Wat Udom Thani, Nakhon Nayok, as the sermon master; and Phra Tham Senee of Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklaram as the witness.
He served as abbot of Wat Phrom Suwannasamakkee, Bang Phai Subdistrict, Phasi Charoen District, Bangkok, in 1981, and later became abbot of Wat Srisudarom Worawihan, Bang Khun Non Subdistrict, Bangkok Noi District, Bangkok, in 1987.
Ecclesiastical ranks
In 1988, he was appointed Phra Wachira Ratchamanit (third class royal ecclesiastical title).
In 1993, he was elevated to Phra Ratcha Phiphat Kosol (second class royal ecclesiastical title).
In 2014, he became Phra Thep Prasitmon (first class royal ecclesiastical title).
In 2024, he was appointed Phra Thamm Wachirakunatharn.
On 27 March 2025, he was granted the royal ecclesiastical rank of Phra Ratchakhana Chaokhuna Rong Chan Hirunbat, with the official title “Phra Phrom Wachirakunatharn.”
He has notable achievements as chairman overseeing the construction of several hospitals.
