Most recently, at 9:00 p.m. on 16 Sep, the owner came to reclaim the Siberian husky at the residence of a police officer who serves as the driver for the Pattaya City Police Chief.
Initially, it is known that this dog is named “Chiel.” A representative of the owner said the dog got separated from her in Pattaya City around 14 Sep. After traveling from Lat Phrao, Bangkok, upon seeing the news, the owner immediately contacted the police to reclaim Chiel and expressed great relief that she was safe and well cared for by the officers.
Meanwhile, during the handover, the police officer who volunteered to temporarily care for the dog showed a strong emotional bond with Chiel, despite the short time. He cradled and hugged her constantly before carrying her to the car and giving her a farewell kiss.
He softly said, “If the owner can’t keep her, please bring her back to me; we’ll take care of her.” This moment left a lasting impression during the handover of the dog back to her owner.
